As Lived Experience Coordinator, Suicide Prevention Illawarra Shoalhaven, you will join the Suicide Prevention Team and be responsible for working with, supporting and developing the capability of lived experience members of the Illawarra Shoalhaven Suicide Prevention Collaborative (www.suicidepreventioncollaborative.org.au). You will also assist with Collaborative projects, ensuring lived experience and suicide prevention peer workforce priorities are considered.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Possess highly developed interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
  • Be experienced in contributing insights drawn from your personal lived experience of suicide
  • Bring demonstrated experience and results from providing support, mentoring, or coaching to vulnerable, stigmatised, or disempowered individuals
  • Be solutions- and strengths-focused
  • Have a strong sense of personal resilience and a passion for suicide prevention
