Head of Marketing and Communications

COPE: Centre of Perinatal Excellence

About us:

Centre of Perinatal Excellence (COPE) is a not-for-profit organisation devoted to reducing the impacts of emotional and mental health problems in hopeful, expectant and new parents.

Our history and foundations are underpinned by extensive research and best practice. Building upon this, COPE provides a national, dedicated focus to perinatal mental health to address the identified issues that we know are currently preventing people from accessing timely and effective information and care.

Through our corporate objectives and governance, COPE works with others to achieve our purpose. Our work to date has been made possible through the invaluable financial and pro-bono contributions of our company membership and partners.

The role:

The newly created role of Head of Marketing and Communications is tasked with building our capacity and team to deliver our marketing and communications strategy, objectives, policies, and program.

Key responsibilities include the selection and leadership of our growing Marketing and Communications team, the ongoing curation, monitoring and data analytics of our websites, social media channels and multimedia campaigns. The role will also oversee the design, development and production of all of our marketing and communications content and materials.

Supported by our Communications Manager, the role is accountable for leading our media relationships to expand our media presence and audience and directing market research, advertising, and promotion. Also monitoring, evaluating and reporting on their performance and efficiency.

The person:

The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience in the marketing and communications space coupled with sound commercial awareness of the NFP sector. Initiative, flexibility, maturity of judgement and decision-making skills are key to success in this most fulfilling role.

We are a small team, doing big things and making a difference to many lives. Whilst we operate in a professional and fast-paced environment, we are flexible as to where you wish to work and would consider a part time appointment for the right candidate.

A competitive remuneration package, including the ability to salary package, will be offered based on experience.

The successful candidate will be required to provide a current Working With Children Check and undertake background and National Police checks.
