WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone to join our Sector Support and Development team. This position works closely with the Community and Stakeholder Engagement Officer and supports CHSP providers to increase their capability and improve quality of service delivery through a range of activities.

The main responsibilities of this position are:

  • engaging with providers and other key stakeholders to identify needs, opportunities and partnerships
  • monitoring government reform information and opportunities, along with training and resources in the sector, relevant to CHSP Service Providers
  • curating the above information and sharing it with the sector in a range of ways
  • identifying, coordinating and promoting training, resources and support
  • providing one-to-one support with providers particularly in regional rural and remote communities
  • collaborating with CHSP Sector Support and Development officers around Australia
  • contributing to COTA Queensland’s Sector Support and Development Program

Essential criteria

We’re looking for someone who’s keen to make a difference in the aged care space, and with the following knowledge, experience and skills:

  • Demonstrated experience in the aged care, health, disability, or related human services sector
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in engaging with a diversity of stakeholders
  • Demonstrated skills in data management and data management systems
  • Effective verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in working as a member of a team including in online environments
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline

Desirable criteria:

  • Knowledge of the aged care system and the Aged Care Reforms in particular as they relate to home and community care
  • Experience in and or knowledge of living and working in regional rural or remote communities
  • Experience working with older people
  • Experience in managing or coordinating CHSP or Home Care Package services

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Flexibility in workplace location and number of days per week, ideally 3-5 days, to be negotiated.
  • Salary Package: up to $15,900 tax free + meals and entertainment benefit.
  • Opportunity to stay informed and in touch with the aged care reforms, and to contribute to the development of the sector during this time of change.

POSITION INFORMATION

  • Location: Work from Home, in our Brisbane CBD office, or other location as negotiated
  • Terms: Part/Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 30 June 2025 with potential for extension
