About us

The Magistrates’ Court of Victoria (MCV) is a jurisdiction within the Court Services Victoria statutory authority and has a long history of providing justice for the people of Victoria in metropolitan and regional courts across the state.

The Court determines in excess of 300,000 cases per annum at 51 venues, equating to approximately 90 per cent of all cases that come before Victorian courts each year.  The Court aims to be an innovative, accessible and responsive court that provides quality services to the Victorian community.

About the role 

The Court Support Services Manager role is responsible for the leadership and management of the Court Support Services programs (including CISP and ARC). The role provides overall leadership to a multi-disciplinary team consisting of team leaders, advanced case managers, case managers and administrative staff, as well as having responsibility for implementing practice improvements and quality assurance processes across the programs.

The role will support evidence-based service delivery and policy development within Specialist Courts and Programs.

About you

We encourage you to apply if you possess the following:

  • A graduate tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, allied health, disability or other relevant fields. 
  • Proven management experience in leading multidisciplinary teams and geographically spread operational sites, effectively promoting a client focused approach to the delivery and management of services. 
  • The ability to work in a fast-paced environment delivering solid leadership and emotional intelligence skills, with demonstrated ability to engage others, inspire and motivate people to influencing a positive and collaborative organisational culture. 
  • Demonstrated extensive knowledge, skills and experience delivery of evidence-based interventions and/or case management support to individuals to engage in appropriate mental health care in the community.
  • Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution skills, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
  • A willingness to undertake a WWCC. 
  • A valid and current Victorian Drivers Licence.
