About the role:

C&K nGundanoo Imbabee Community Childcare Centre is now looking for an experienced Early Childhood professional to join the Centre in 2021. This Teaching and Educational Leader opportunity will see you being part of a Community based Childcare Centre which supports the local communities' families and children as well as feeling supported and mentored by C&K.

C&K provides high quality educational experiences through the implementation of the new revised curriculum "Listening & Learning together" by encouraging children to express their own ideas through play to develop friendships, explore, solve problems, help others, imagine, create and extend on their interests.

This position is Permanent full time working 40 hours per weeks as the Centre Educational Leader and the Kindergarten Teacher.

As the Teacher, you will have an ability to document and assess children's learning behavior and development. You will be able to model and support the room educators to utilise a variety of teaching strategies including intentional teaching and reflective practice in daily work.

The outdoor natural environment means the children can use their imagination in all areas including the gardens, dry water creek bed, mud and dirt play and plenty of trees and play spaces to explore.

To be successful for this role:

  • Bachelor's Degree in early childhood or equivalent (recognised by ACECQA as an early childhood teaching qualification)
  • Current registration with the Queensland College of Teachers desirable
  • Experience working with the Kindergarten age group and Educational leader experience essential
  • Knowledge of National Quality Framework and Standards ("NQF" and "NQS"), the Early Years Learning Framework ("EYLF")
  • Current Paid or Exemption Blue card
  • Current First Aid, CPR and Asthma and Anaphylaxis Training
  • An understanding of the provision of a safe, well planned indoor and outdoor learning environment
  • An ability to document observations of children's behaviour and development
  • An ability to implement a planned program, ensuring the needs of individual children and the group are met
