Executive Director

Catholic Social Services Australia

Catholic Social Services Australia (CSSA) is the national representative organisation of the catholic social services sector. Its member agencies deliver a range of services from family support and counselling to social housing and homelessness services. Our members provide services to nearly 1,000,000 Australians each year.

CSSA’s advocacy and policy formulation are based on the tradition of Catholic Social Thought and the teachings of the Church.

The Executive Director will report to an incorporated board and lead a small secretariat in Canberra. They will be expected to develop and maintain excellent working relationships with key stakeholders in the Federal Parliament, government, other faith-based and like-minded organisations, and media outlets.

A central requirement of the role is to effectively communicate the impact of government policies and programs on the Catholic services sector and for disadvantaged people and those trapped in poverty.

The CSSA Board invites applications from candidates with a background in human services and government relations.

A position description is available by emailing [email protected].
