About the Role

The Program Development Officer supports the health, wellbeing, education and employment of young people in the city of Darebin. The role will oversee and support the delivery of creative and technology based programs and services at The Hub at Northland, a vibrant and multi-purpose youth space that hosts a range of local support services and equipped with the latest games and technology.

The successful candidate will have the chance to work with a diverse group of young people and use technology and creative methods to design a program of their choosing.

  • Co-design creative and technology-based programs for school aged young people
  • Oversee and support the daily operation at The Hub at Northland
  • Provide one-to-one support to young people
  • Support a range of youth programs and initiatives across the service as required

Skills & Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working with young people using a youth participation model
  • Ability to deal with a variety with complex issues and behaviours
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Enthusiastic, self-motivated team player who is approachable and adaptable
