About the role

An exciting opportunity exists to join the Talent Acquisition Team as a Talent Acquisition Officer looking after all recruitment across the Department of Communities & Justice.

As a Talent Acquisition Officer you will deliver the end to end responsibility for identifying, attracting and on-boarding talent to efficiently and effectively meet changing organisational needs. This role will provide advice and consultation to key stakeholders both internal and external to DCJ in regards to talent acquisition services.

As a Talent Acquisition Officer, you will work closely with your portfolio of internal hiring managers and be responsible for the delivery of end to end recruitment where you will provide professional consultancy and advisory services around best practice recruitment and selection.

You will be involved in all aspects of recruitment including: taking job briefs, developing marketing campaigns, providing advice on attraction strategies, actively searching for talent, pre-screening applications and also participating on assessment panels where required.
 
You will also contribute to the development and implementation of recruitment practices and processes and assist the recruitment managers to monitor the team’s compliance and identify and address any arising issues

Essential requirements

The division will accept proof of Aboriginality confirming the following:

  1. You are an aboriginal person of Aboriginal descent;

  3. You are accepted as such by the community in which you live

An acceptable form of documented verification is a “Confirmation of Aboriginality” letter, provided to you by a local Aboriginal organisation that includes a common seal from that organisation.

About you

Our ideal candidate is someone who is dedicated to building strong working relationships and providing outstanding Talent Acquisition service in an agile and fast paced working environment.  You will be able to work with autonomy whilst contributing to the success of the People Team objectives, acting as the subject matter expert for talent acquisition.

You will be proactive, resilient and organised with high energy and a can-do attitude. They will come from a recruitment background. A genuine passion for people.

It is important that the successful candidate is able to bring a wealth of expertise and experience obtained from the recruitment profession and able to translate that into this position.

The Talent Acquisition team possess a high drive and huge emphasis on continuing to improve our recruitment model. To be successful in this role you will have previous experience delivering a high quality customer-focused service in recruitment and an ability to manage multiple competing priorities.

In addition to the above, ideally you will possesses:

  • Proven experience in recruitment – minimum of 2-3 years’ experience
  • Exceptional relationship development skills
  • Excellent customer-oriented problem -solving skills
  • A passion for people
  • A competitive spirit and strong work ethic
  • The ability to work as part of a team in a complex and sometimes ambiguous environment.
