DBNC is an incorporated community organisation, whose core business is to provide a range of programs, services, activities and facilities to residents in the Deception Bay area. DBNC’s mission is to be a catalyst in the community for empowering local people to achieve their goals and to advocate for change on issues that impact our community. We do this by supporting and providing local services, activities and initiatives, and working collaboratively to provide opportunities within the community. DBNC has two key documents that guide us in delivering our services; the Community Development Framework and Strategic Plan.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Timely data entry of supplier invoices and creating sales invoices
  • Tracking payments
  • Creating batch payments
  • Creating, monitoring & updating bookings in multiple calendars
  • General administration, filing
  • Manage and reconcile company debit cards on a monthly basis
  • Maintain updated systems for filing, assets, key register
  • Data Entry of timesheet for payroll processing 
  • Assist Finance Compliance Officer with MYOB reporting when requested

Key Selection Criteria

  1. Proficient in the use of computers, including MYOB accounting software and Microsoft Office, primarily outlook and excel;
  2. A minimum Cert IV qualification in business or accounting
  3. Minimum 2 yrs experience with MYOB (or other similar accounting software) essential;
  4. Strong communication skills; ability to interact productively with supervisors and peers
  5. Experience in accounting or Accounts Payable/Receivable roles
  6. A background in NFP sector is preferred but not essential
  7. Be eligible for a Blue Card.
