Exciting career opening for energetic Fundraising Leader with a passion for events and community engagement. Working as part of a proactive and dedicated fundraising team, you will play a key role in delivering on a wide range of high-profile community and mass participation events as well as lead a small team.
Responsibilities will include:
- Plan, develop and implement creative strategies to increase community fundraising engagement and generate income
- Manage the successful execution of fundraising events, including major organisational events, that increase profile and revenue
- Contribute to strategic and business planning, including budgets and reporting Key Result Areas
- Direct and manage all aspects of community fundraising, including online and offline sources
- Supervise community fundraising staff, ensuring activities sustain and enhance community engagement and revenue
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with members of the community, external suppliers, sponsors, and volunteers to ensure the growth and sustainability of community engagement activities
- Manage suppliers and online fundraising platforms (for example, GoFundraise)
- Collaborate with marketing staff to promote community fundraising activities
- Proactively seek new community fundraising opportunities to engage supporters
- Manage online presence (and content) for community fundraising – website and social media, liaising with relevant staff as needed.
- Oversee all aspects of event logistics (from RSVPs to venue and catering requirements etc)
- Work with Marketing staff and use communication channels to promote official fundraising events
- Ensure all events generate the maximum revenue to support the services of the organisation
- Represent the organisation at events and activities as a speaker and brand ambassador as required
- Planning and Reporting
- Prepare and submit monthly reports, analysis and research
- Ensure compliance to all fundraising legislation
Successful criteria:
- Proven track record of success in a Fundraising Management role
- Event Management experience
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly developed project management skills, with proven ability to plan, prioritise and meet project timeframes
- Mass participation event experience highly regarded
- CRM skills, Raiser’s Edge highly regarded
- Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Resourceful and easily adaptable
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends if required
