Detour House Inc provides accommodation and care to women and girls in Sydney’s inner-west through two services: Detour House and The Girls Refuge. Through these services, Detour House Inc provides a trauma-informed safe place for women and girls to stay, gain greater stability in their lives, and realise their potential. Our services are specialist homelessness services, focused on reducing the incidence of homelessness experienced by women and girls.
The Girls Refuge is a safe, home-like environment for teenage girls who are homeless, at risk of homelessness or going through a difficult time and whose families need some extra support. We also provide support in the community for girls and young women living independently or with their families. Girls can stay at our refuge, located in Sydney’s inner west, for up to three months.
The role will be responsible for the coordination and development of service delivery and team capability, with the aim of delivering high quality services at The Girls Refuge which resolve crisis and promote empowerment.
The Service Coordinator position will deliver day to day management of case workers and youth workers employed at The Girls Refuge.
The Chief Executive Officer will have supervisory oversight and direction of your work. This includes Human Resource accountabilities and responsibilities. There is an expectation that each employee will participate in training, supervision, team building and clinical development
