At Dignity, we believe we can collaboratively end homelessness in Australia. To do this, we empower people who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness to prevent, respond to and end their homelessness. Dignity currently provides supported temporary accommodation and longer-term stable housing for hundreds of people every night of the year and operates multiple programs to prevent homelessness including food relief and education across Australia.

Our team is expanding, and we are looking for a motivated, personable and organised individual to join our Partnerships team to assist with volunteers, donations and distribution activity.

Based in Chullora (primarily), 3 days per week from 9am -3pm.

MAIN DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Shopping and sourcing donations of items
  • Manage Distribution Centre stock including taking receipt and logging donations
  • Complete regular stocktake
  • Assist with corporate volunteering program including set up of on-site volunteering days
  • Ensure adequate food/care packs/supplies stocked in the Distribution Centre
  • Support Partnerships Manager as required
  • Maintain CRM database and Distribution Centre logs

The ideal person for this position will have:

  • A desire to work ‘for purpose’ and assist people in need
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Excellent computer literacy
  • Personal maturity and self-awareness
  • Initiative and enthusiasm
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Own car, licence and willing to travel when required
  • Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
