Board Members x2 (Voluntary)

Dismantle

As part of our regular Board skills and competency review, we are delighted to invite expressions of interest for the roles of Director and Treasurer of the Board. Interested parties ideally will possess experience in a similar board role in a not-for-profit environment and be prepared to roll up their sleeves in support of Dismantle’s strategic and operational objectives.

Our Board

We have a dynamic and energetic board, who are committed to Dismantle’s strategic principles. We work collaboratively with the leadership team to enable Dismantle to develop and grow. We meet bi-monthly and each have an area of operational focus to work on between board meetings.

Who We Are

Dismantling disadvantage. Building young futures. Dismantle's mission is to empower WA’s vulnerable young people to overcome socio-inherited hurdles in their critical years, minimising the risk of long-term unemployment and providing fundamental skills and supports that lay the foundations for personal growth, independence and long-term success.

Our History

Dismantle is a not for profit that exists to break the cycle of welfare dependency and social disadvantage. Since 2011, we have been adopting a preventative and early intervention approach, offering outreach programs to mentor, train and employ people aged 15-25 years who are at-risk of long-term disengagement and unemployment. In 2015 and 2019, we established social enterprises in landscaping (ReNew Property Maintenance) and bicycle repairs (BikeDr. Cycle Services) to provide participants with real on-the-job training alongside case management support.

Rather than providing hand-outs, we empower participants with the skills, support and resources they need to lead sustainable futures. For the larger community, Dismantle’s vision is safer, healthier neighbourhoods free of poverty, crime and addiction, where community inclusion and participation thrives.
