Research Manager - Culturally and Racially Marginalised Women in Leadership Project - Flexible Location

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Manager to join the Education function at Diversity Council Australia. The research manager will be responsible for the management of an industry research project focussing on the experiences of women from culturally and racially marginalised backgrounds in executive leadership in Australian organisations. Women from culturally and racially marginalised backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply. This is a 9-month fixed-term position.

Flexible role (hours & location) but must work in AEST time-zone reporting to the Sydney based Member Education Director.

This role will have an immediate (or as soon as possible) starting date.

SELECTION CRITERIA

The successful candidate must:

  • Have excellent qualitative research skills (e.g., be able to conduct literature reviews, collect and analyse qualitative data and write up findings into an industry report).
  • Be able to manage research projects in a timely, inclusive and resource effective manner, to help ensure key deliverables are met by due dates and in budget.
  • Be able to manage relationships effectively with key stakeholders for the project including with DCA research partners and members of industry.
  • Be passionate about diversity and inclusion and have deep subject matter expertise (including on the intersections of race and gender).

SKILLS & EXPERIENCES

  • Able to collect, analyse, and interpret qualitative data and report on this in a way that will engage industry
  • Strong subject matter expertise in diversity and inclusion, in particular, race and gender
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Preferably higher degree (Honours, Masters, PhD) or equivalent experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills & attention to detail
  • Passionate about equity, diversity & inclusion
  • Self-starter with plenty of drive, initiative and motivation and the ability to work unsupervised
  • Skills in writing and delivering presentations to DCA members will be highly valued
  • Is honest, trustworthy and has integrity
