The Role

Work in schools as a member of a multi-disciplinary team to provide a social work service which supports students and families. Contribute to capacity building of school communities to improve access, participation and achievement of students.

Requirements

Essential

  • A degree in social work from a university, Institute of Technology or College of Advanced Education or an equivalent award from a recognised overseas institution.
  • The Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013 requires persons undertaking work in a regulated activity to be registered. A regulated activity is a child related service or activity defined in the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Regulations 2014. This registration must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of this may be checked at any time during employment.

Desirable

  • A current driver's licence.
  • Eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.

Salary range: $63,411 to $96,797 per annum (pro-rata) Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement 2019.
