As a Grade 1Physiotherapist you will participate in three teams/service rotations over the twelve-month program, including:

  • Adult Physiotherapy Team,
  • Paediatric Child Health Team
  • Early Childhood Intervention Team

A little about the role

At DPV Health, we provide Physiotherapy services for all ages!

With the expectation of starting in early February 2023 you will work within a Family and Client Centred Framework to provide a comprehensive centre based consultative Physiotherapy service to children and adults.

The position is responsible for providing quality Physiotherapy intervention and expertise by working closely with the client, family, and other team members to best meet their needs and priorities. 

What does our Physiotherapy team do at DPV Health?

Our Physiotherapists work across several teams and specialise in providing a broad range of services to our community including:

  • The delivery of evidence-based interventions within a transdisciplinary and/or multidisciplinary team of allied health and education professionals.
  • Early childhood intervention supports and services for babies and young children with a disability or developmental delays.
  • Adult supports with a strong focus on prevention, early intervention, restorative and strength-based interventions to facilitate the maintenance and/or improvement of activities of daily living.
  • Assessment and support of clients to improve their functional abilities, independence and access to the community as well as build the capacity of their carers/family. Including the provision of high-quality reports.
  • Creating client directed care plans to help the client achieve their agreed goals.
  • Delivering a range of therapy programs which may consist of one or more options, including short term goal focused group therapy, individual sessions, blocks of therapy, monitoring and review.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

  • Have recently completed or are about to complete a tertiary qualification in Physiotherapy (Bachelor or Masters coursework)
  • Currently hold, or are in the process of applying for registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Professionals Registration Agency (AHPRA)
  • Possess a passion for working within a diverse and inclusive community environment. 
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
  • Demonstrate early career experience in providing Physiotherapy assessments, planning, treatment, education and management. 
  • Demonstrate independence, initiative and agility; and 
  • Demonstrate innovation and integrity in excellent service delivery

Please note the successful candidate will:

  • Be required to undergo a National Police Check, hold a valid WWCC and NDIS Worker Screening Check
  • Currently hold, or are in the process of applying for registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Professionals Registration Agency (AHPRA)
  • Eligibility for SWEP registration
  • Have COVID-19 Vaccination
  • Full driver’s license and travel between sites is required

This is a fixed term 12-month program with the potential for ongoing employment for high performing clinicians.
