The Board of Down Syndrome WA is seeking applications from strategically minded, performance-driven, innovative leaders with strong financial acumen to take Down Syndrome WA to the next level of service delivery in the NDIS space.
Down Syndrome WA, is a growing not-for-profit disability organisation that provides support and information to people with Down syndrome, their families, and to those in the community who support them. The association works to empower people with Down syndrome and their families to achieve their goals. We work to represent our members needs to the community, promote positive attitudes about Down syndrome and create opportunities for full inclusion and participation. The association is dedicated to supporting and advocating for its members to live a life of their choice by delivering quality supports.
Under a Federated Model we have a strong relationship with Down Syndrome Australia and with the other state and territory Down syndrome associations.
The organisation is registered with the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) and Department of Communities (Western Australia) and is a registered charity with the Australian Charities and Not-for-Profits Commission (ACNC).
The Board is seeking a values-driven, visionary and innovative leader, who can build upon the strong progress made by the association to date, as well as inspire and assist the team to deliver on strategies that will continue to achieve our vision and build sustainable growth.
There is scope to negotiate between a 0.6 FTE and full-time position, based in our office in Cannington, Western Australia. The successful candidate will lead and empower a team of employees who are committed and passionate about their role and serving the association’s membership. This is a unique opportunity to lead Down Syndrome WA through its next cycle of growth and success to ensure that quality services, information and support are available to members at each life stage.
