The Strategic Sourcing Group provides whole of government procurement solutions to achieve best value for the Victorian Government. This recently established team within the Strategic Sourcing Group works closely with high value procurement & project teams across the Victorian Government to support and ensure social procurement is embedded and delivering priority outcomes under the Social Procurement Framework.

About the role

This newly created role will research and develop a pipeline of projects, manage team systems, and support the delivery of project advice and programs to ensure social procurement is effectively implemented to deliver priority outcomes. This is a VPS 4 role that is available on a one-year fixed term contract.

Key accountabilities:

  • Identify and engage with stakeholders across government to build a pipeline of high value projects
  • Work proactively and collaboratively across the team develop and implement processes, systems and innovations which improve team performance
  • Support engagement with procurement teams by reviewing and developing documentation, presentations and collating content
  • Support the delivery of social procurement programs by developing and implementing tools and systems, preparing presentations, and arranging logistics
  • Contribute to the development and delivery of stories, reports, templates and content to improve social and sustainable outcomes through procurement
  • Support the Strategic Sourcing Group in delivery of other priorities as required

About you

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience working proactively as part of a team to develop solutions and progress initiatives
  • Excellent personal organisation and project management skills to achieve clear goals and deadlines
  • Demonstrated understanding of either procurement, diversity and inclusion, construction, or the social sector
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to a value driven career opportunity
