The Strategic Sourcing Group provides whole of government procurement solutions to achieve best value for the Victorian Government. This recently established team within the Strategic Sourcing Group works closely with high value procurement & project teams across the Victorian Government to support and ensure social procurement is embedded and delivering priority outcomes under the Social Procurement Framework.

About the role

This is a VPS5 one year fix term contract, the role leads the development and delivery of programs, including online learning, webinars, workshops and content curation to effectively support the delivery of social procurement across a diverse range of construction projects. A collaborative team approach will enable social and procurement subject matter experts to contribute effectively to program development and delivery.

Key accountabilities:

  • Develop and deliver effective programs for government buyers to maximise outcomes across social and sustainable procurement, including gender equality and COVID recovery
  • Develop supporting assets including presentations, workshop plans, online learning modules and stories to underpin the successful delivery of programs
  • Work collaboratively across the team to draw on expertise and contribute to a range of projects.
  • Implement a continuous improvement approach to program development
  • Contribute to communications that educate and inspire stakeholders on the ways procurement can be leveraged to drive social change and gender equality

About you

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate the following:

  • Demonstrated experience in learning and development or related communications disciplines with an ability to draw in social procurement subject matter experts
  • Demonstrated experience in developing a range of learning and program support assets
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of team to develop solutions and progress initiatives
  • Ability to work independently to plan and prioritise work to ensure outcomes are achieved in a dynamic environment where there are competing priorities
  • Demonstrated commitment to a value driven career opportunity
  • Ability to draft accurate and succinct reports, briefings and submissions, identifying key issues and providing well researched options
  • An understanding of government procurement and/or the construction industry and/or social impact
