In 2021, Domestic Violence Victoria (DV Vic) and the Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria (DVRCV) are merging to become a new entity. This merger brings the peak body for Victoria’s specialist family violence services supporting victim survivors together with the state’s only specialist family violence Registered Training Organisation, combining our strength, capacity and resources for greater impact.

Working in the Sector Development Unit, the Workforce Policy and Practice Manager is a new role that will support the project and programs that enable the effective delivery of workforce and practice development activities and projects.

Key to the success of this role will be supporting and managing staff accountable for delivering multiple projects and programs focused on sector, industry and workforce development. This includes initiatives such as career pathways, workforce pipeline solutions, education and training infrastructure, job role design, industry planning and innovation and planning and support for the implementation of the Code of Practice.

This is a new role for DV Vic and we’re looking for an experienced people leader with a track record working in the public or community sector, and with experience in the Victorian specialist family violence sector and/or a peak body setting.

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in workforce development, education and training, public policy, project management or related discipline and/or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • A comprehensive understanding of the drivers, dynamics, and impacts of family and gendered violence, and knowledge of state and federal policy and law informing responses to family violence
  • Experience successfully developing actionable projects, strategies and implementation plans in response to complex workforce issues
  • Knowledge of, and experience in, industry, sector and workforce planning and development.
  • Sound knowledge of project and contract management processes and practices

This role is being offered on a renewable 12-month fixed term contract. In addition to a salary of $106,373 + 10% super, DV Vic offer its employees:
