In 2021, Domestic Violence Victoria (DV Vic) and the Domestic Violence Resource Centre Victoria (DVRCV) merged to become a new entity – Safe and Equal.
The merger brings the peak body for Victoria’s specialist family violence services supporting victim survivors together with the state’s only specialist family violence Registered Training Organisation: combining our strength, capacity and resources for greater impact.

Safe and Equal’s work is informed by the experiences of adult and child victim-survivors impacted by family violence.

DVRCV is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) and Safe and Equal provides training for domestic/family violence units of competency from the Community Services Training package as well as non-accredited training to meet workforce development needs from prevention to response.
Trainers are responsible for the delivery of new, innovative training as well as the high quality delivery of all Safe and Equal’s training packages and evaluation.
