About EDVOS

We are a leading specialist family violence service working with victim survivors in Eastern Melbourne. We also do prevention and education work nationally.

Family violence can take many forms such as intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder abuse, carer abuse, parental abuse and sibling abuse. Our services are directed towards women, children, pets and other animals, who are responding to any form of family violence.

The people best placed to shape our services for optimal impact are people who have lived through family violence - they are experts by virtue of lived experience.

We have bold ambitions to embed client centricity firmly in everything we do. This is about more than client feedback, but whole-of-organisation approaches that create the environment and systems to embed lived experience and consumer engagement in decision making and our work.

About the Opportunity

Informed by our new Strategic Plan we are in an exciting phase of development focused on enhancing and maturing our approach through a number of important pieces of work. In this role, you will take the lead in scoping, delivering and evaluating a number of strategic projects. In particular, you’ll get to work on:

  • Our Victim Survivor Framework to embed client centricity and lived experience
  • Our Reconciliation Action Plan

The role is broad in focus, spanning research and ideation, wide and comprehensive stakeholder engagement, project oversight, and implementation in close partnership with the services team.

About you

You have strong conceptual skills and are in your element translating strategy into practice in the real world context. You will be some who can bring people together to build inspiration and excitement underpinned by engagement and consensus.

You have the discipline to keep large and complex projects on track by keeping focused on the big picture and bringing people on the journey with you.

You’ll have an in depth understanding of best practice approaches to consumer engagement in community services organisations and a strong commitment to consumer rights, co-design of services and consumer participation in service delivery.

Why work with us?

  • We are a welcoming, supportive and inclusive team, driven by a shared vision of a community free from violence where everyone is safe.
  • We believe in lifelong learning and support our people to engage in professional development.
  • We embrace flexibility and hybrid working - whilst we believe some time together in person is critical, we know balancing life and work is important
  • We have great benefits like parental leave, EAP and wellbeing programs
