The role

We are seeking a Drug and Alcohol Addiction GP Facilitator to work collaboratively within the primary care sector, particularly with GP’s and peak bodies to build capacity, promote education programs, and deliver high quality care for consumers with drug and alcohol issues. Working in a dynamic team and reporting to the Program Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Building strong relationships with General Practices and other relevant stakeholders within the AOD sector to enhance access to AOD treatment and services, increasing the awareness of evidence based resources
  • Engaging with ACRRM, the RACGP and other relevant bodies to support and promote AOD education and training grants within the primary care sector
  • Managing all aspects of the project scope and quality, risk and performance, developing project plans and ensuring initiative timelines are met
  • Data analysis relating to the engagement of GPs, identifying key deliverables and informing solutions

Who we are looking for

To be considered for this role you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health sciences or equivalent (project management qualifications desirable)
  • Knowledge of AOD and experience in high quality AOD care or high quality primary care
  • Demonstrated experience in building the capacity of health care providers and practices/organisations
  • Project management skills and well developed data interpretation and presentation skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
