Mamu Health Service is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation owned and managed by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to provide culturally appropriate and comprehensive primary health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities that fall within the Cassowary Coast Region as well as Ravenshoe, Mt Garnet and Babinda.
Our service provides a multi-disciplinary approach with linkages to specialists and allied health providers to deliver preventative and ongoing holistic health care, health promotion and education, safety and wellbeing support.

Mamu Health now has a rewarding opportunity for multiple General Practitioners to join their team on a full-time basis across multiple locations including Innisfail, Tully, Babinda & Ravenshoe, QLD.
In this pivotal role within the organisation, you will be reporting to the Senior Medical Officer and responsible for providing WHOLISTIC healthcare to Mamu Health clients and contributing to improving the health outcomes for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander People.
Some of your key duties will include (but will not be limited to):
Working with PASSIONATE colleagues who prioritise patient care above all else, you will love working for a "Community Minded Organisation who are committed to the Community".
To be considered for this position you will be a Qualified Medical Practitioner with FRACGP/FACRRM Registration, AHPRA Registration, professional medical indemnity insurance and a current First Aid Certificate. Previous experience working in Aboriginal Health Services is preferred however not essential provided you are open minded, possessing resilience, understanding, and a desire to engage with the community and its cultural needs.
Someone who possesses the ability to adopt a flexible approach with a willingness to work in a team in addition to demonstrated initiative and the ability to work with minimal/no supervision will be highly regarded, along with candidates who have Communicare experience. Please note however, the most important attribute is a GP with an understanding of the community and Aboriginal medical services.
