Anyinginyi Health Aboriginal Corporation (AHAC) is a multi-disciplinary organisation which provides primary health care services to the Aboriginal people of Tennant Creek and the surrounding Barkly region.
Anyinginyi consists of four different sections (Health Centre, Corporate Services, Public Health Unit,and Piliyintinji-Ki Stronger Families) which allows them to have a holistic approach to health ensuring that clients' physical and emotional health and wellbeing is given the utmost priority.
Anyinginyi's vision is Aboriginal people in the Barkly region enjoy equity in health status with that of other Australian citizens. Anyinginyi's purpose is to be a provider of high quality holistic primary health care services focusing on the Aboriginal communities of the Barkly region in a culturally responsive way.
Are you a Medical Officer who is wanting to make a difference? AHAC are seeking full-time Medical Officers who are looking for a new challenge in a stunning Australian outback location.
This rewarding opportunity will see you travelling to beautiful remote communities within a 100km radius of Tennant Creek. You will help enact positive change by providing high-quality clinical and culturally safe primary healthcare services, working within a multidisciplinary team to optimise the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal people within a comprehensive primary healthcare setting. To ensure a comfortable and safe environment male doctors will predominately see male patients and female doctors will predominately see female patients.
Some of your core duties will include (but will not be limited to):
AHAC is looking for candidates who are fully qualified as a General Practitioner with current (or eligibility to obtain) registration with AHPRA. You must also have recognised clinical experience. Candidates who have experience in an Aboriginal Health Community Controlled environment will be highly regarded.
If you are in possession of your DRCOG or Sexual Health Certificate it is important for you to know that your expertise will be highly regarded.
