Enliven Victoria (enliven) is a highly regarded health promoting charity based in Dandenong. enliven brings together health and community service organisations to work collaboratively to improve health and social wellbeing for communities across Melbourne's South East.

Our small yet dynamic Health Promotion team works across a number of health priority areas and settings, aiming to address health inequities within our community to facilitate positive health and wellbeing outcomes. This involves working in responsive, diverse, and innovative ways to positively shift systems, environments and behaviours to enable opportunities for good health for individuals, communities and population groups.

ABOUT YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Health Promotion Officer to join the Health Promotion team. Reporting to the Health Promotion Manager your role is to:

  • Lead and support the design, implementation, and evaluation of enliven’s primary prevention and health promotion projects, in line with enliven’s new Strategic Plan.
  • Build and support strong partnerships and collaborative action across the South East Melbourne catchment.
  • Work collaboratively with the Health Promotion, Health Literacy, Planetary Health and Diversity and Inclusion teams to identify opportunities to enhance the reach, quality and sustainability of enliven’s work.
  • Apply health promotion expertise to a broad range of projects, grants, research and planning activities internally and for enliven’s partner agencies.

ALL ABOUT YOU

We are looking for someone with:

  • Tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, implementation and evaluation, within the not-for-profit sector.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills including the ability to develop, maintain and lead strong collaborative partnerships with community groups, health and community service organisations, local councils, funding bodies and key government agencies.
  • A strong desire to improve the health and wellbeing of population groups through the application of socio-ecological models of health.
