Australia’s leading environmental products retailer has been helping people go green since 1996. We are committed to the best sustainability outcomes possible through quality products, ethical buying practices and excellent service.

We run an active web shop, and mail-order service. We are the sister company to EnviroGroup which designs and instals solar, battery and renewable energy systems.

EnviroShop is a small business, which means you will be dealing with many different issues and roles in the space of an average working day. There is a lot of background knowledge to be learned and understood on all our products, so an ability and passion for learning is essential.

You will be provided with on-the-job training in all relevant areas, but if you’re the right kind of person for the job we hope you’ll also be doing a bit of research and education in your own time, because you love that kind of thing.

While there will initially be more hours to allow for training the ongoing role will be typically three days week, with the flexible hours. The role includes some weekend work.

DUTIES INCLUDE:

• Retail assistant duties in a High St store.
• Assistance with sourcing, ordering and receiving store stock.
• Helping customers with information on sustainable products such as composting and cleaning products, low-toxicity paints and finishes, draught-proofing products and solar lighting.
• Updating and providing information through our website.
• Recommending, quoting and specifying energy saving products.
• General information management, including creation and updates of information sheets.

TO BE SUCCESSFUL WITH YOUR APPLICATION YOU WILL POSSESS THE FOLLOWING SKILLS:

• Enthusiastic, friendly and energetic with a genuine desire to provide outstanding service.
• Strong interest in sustainable products and systems.
• Understanding of sales principles and customer service practices in a retail environment.
• Ability to multi-task, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business.
