- Regional WA > Broome
The Kimberley is one of the world’s special regions. You can still immerse yourself in deep nature and experience the world’s oldest vibrant culture. It’s a rare and magical place, but in serious need of protection.
Environs Kimberley (EK) has been working for the past 25 years to make sure the rivers, wetlands, gorges, coast and tropical savannah remain intact. Established in 1996 to protect the Fitzroy River, we now work across the region to ensure responsible development that is locally based and compatible with the qualities and values of this special part of the world.
We’ve got a great team of people with strong connections across the region. Many of us have been here for over a decade working in a flexible, family-friendly workplace that supports a healthy work–life balance.
We are looking for a passionate person with excellent organisational and people skills to fill the part-time role of Community Engagement, Fundraising and Events based in Broome.
The role includes organising fundraising and awareness-raising events:
The contract being offered is for 18 months at 3 days per week. We are open to and encourage staff to seek other work opportunities in the organisation that help build capacity and increase our effectiveness.
The ideal candidate will have an ability to work both on their own and constructively within a team and be aligned with EK’s vision, mission and values.
EK staff work in regional and remote communities. To protect the health and safety of EK team members and people in regional and remote communities, EK requires all persons who apply for employment to provide evidence that they have received the first and second courses of an Australian government-recognised COVID-19 vaccination before a job offer can be made.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander candidates are encouraged to apply.
