The role

The position of Learning Designer – LMS Administrator is an organisation-wide position reporting to the Education and Training Systems Manager. The position is primarily responsible for the administration of the learning management system (LMS), and supporting the development of online courses for different platforms and a wide range of national audiences.  

The role is accountable for:

  • Administration of the Go1 LMS and Helpdesk service
  • Responding to partner organisations, super users and learner enquiries in a timely manner
  • Documenting and monitoring processes in reference to the LMS and online module development
  • Supporting the development of innovative and flexible online education and training resources
  • Converting face-to-face course content to an online format using Articulate Storyline or similar
  • Maintaining curriculum standards for existing courses, ensuring that course content is relevant to the audience and current
  • Understanding of WCAG 2.0AA specifications and accessibility principles and how these are applied in design and development 
  • Quality control of content - ensuring learning materials meet all required learning outcomes, proofing and referencing content
  • Reviewing and analysing feedback received for input into the continual improvement of face-to-face and online courses
  • Provide stakeholders with KPIs and data related to LMS system usage and training compliance
  • Contributing to continual improvement of all areas of knowledge transfer
  • Providing support for staff to answer customer questions in relation to LMS content
  • Staying up to date with latest developments in educational methods as they relate to online curriculum design and development.
