About us:

Equality Disability and Health Care Services is a registered Disability Support Services Provider based in Ingleside, Sydney. Our agency is focused on helping individuals achieve their goals, become independent, and learn new skills. 

Our founders—Macy and Sam—laid the foundations for the agency in 2018 to promote equality in all disability and healthcare services. With over 35 years of combined experience our agency takes pride in creating a personalised and person-centred approach for every individual that comes into our care. At the very core of EDHCS is our true passion of caring for people with challenging behaviour and complex needs. Our team is committed to growing and flourishing together so that we can continue to uniquely assist every person in their own way. 

The role consists of assisting participants through mental and physical activities involving:

  • Communication and active engagement
  • Reading and writing
  • Hobbies and Recreation
  • Maintaining a safe and clean living environment (may involve meal preparation/ light domestic duties)
  • Transportation, shopping & outings

Requirements:

  • You must have some experience providing domestic assistance and companionship. This can include babysitting, volunteering, and taking care of relatives or friends
  • COVID Vaccination is mandatory. You must have obtained your first dose at the time of your application, and be fully vaccinated by November 29th, 2021.
  • An NDIS Workers Check is required.
  • National Police Check (Current)
  • Working with children check
  • Cert III/IV in Aged Care, Disability or relative qualifications (Preferred)
  • Drivers License and access to a car
  • First Aid/ CPR Certificate (Current)
  • Manual handling experience is preferred
