A unique opportunity for a corporate / commercial litigation lawyer (5 PQE) to work on novel climate change litigation for Equity Generation Lawyers, an incorporated legal practice specialising in climate risk litigation.

The position is ideal for a litigation lawyer at Senior Associate level. You will be involved in litigation and advisory work in the realm of climate risk.

Civil litigation experience in Federal and Supreme Courts is essential. Specialisation in corporations law, superannuation law, insurance, banking, class actions, dispute resolution and M&A will be given weight. You will have an interest in accelerating the transition. Knowledge of climate-related policy and legal developments is essential.

You must be comfortable exploring new areas of law and collaborating in a small, dynamic team.

Clearly, excellent communication and relationship skills will be required. 

We are offering a 1 year contract for 4-5 days a week with a preference for an immediate start. We have a central Sydney office location and offer flexible working conditions (ideally 2-3 days per week in the office). 

An opportunity to extend the contract is possible. Salary reflects the broad public interest nature of our work.
