Equity Generation Lawyers
  • Corporate climate risk
  • Sydney based

A unique opportunity for a corporate / commercial litigation lawyer (7+ PQE) to work on novel climate change litigation for Equity Generation Lawyers, an incorporated legal practice specialising in climate risk litigation.

You will be involved in managing court matters as well as undertaking advisory work and developing a pipeline of new matters that test financiers, corporates and others in the realm of climate risk.

Civil litigation experience in Federal and Supreme Courts is essential. Specialisation in corporations law, superannuation law, insurance, banking, class actions, dispute resolution and M&A will be given weight. You will have an interest in accelerating the transition. A curious, solutions focussed, self-directed mindset is desirable. You must be comfortable exploring new areas of law and working simultaneously across a number of complex matters. A passion for mentoring younger lawyers is a must.

Clearly, excellent communication and relationship skills will be required. An efficient, effective and collaborative working style will be suited to a small, dynamic team.

We are offering a 1 year contract for 4-5 days a week with an immediate start. We have a central Sydney office location and offer flexible working conditions (ideally 2-3 days per week in the office).

An opportunity to extend the contract is possible. Salary reflects the broad public interest nature of our work.

All will be treated as private and confidential.
