Rostering Officer - Mental Health Service

About You

You are organised and approach tasks with a problem-solving mindset. You understand the importance rostering has to contribute to the services provided. Additional attributes we are looking for include:

  • Experience in scheduling and rostering, ideally within the context of a 24/7, 365 days a year operation
  • Effectively and quickly build rapport with people
  • Ability to take initiative and act quickly, remain calm under pressure
  • Effective interpersonal skills & an adaptable communication style
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Sound technical skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Sharepoint

Prior experience using Procura is desired, but not essential.

It is a requirement of this position to acquire and maintain a positive Working With Children’s Check, NDIS Worker Screening check and a current & valid driver’s license.

About the Role

This role functions within a centralised rostering function and is responsible for the rostering and scheduling of our frontline workforce. This role entails:

  • Assisting to build and manage roster for team of direct support workers across a 24/7 coverage, who provide 1:1 support in the community
  • Adhering to guidelines (SCHADS award & NDIS framework)
  • Taking calls, adjust the roster & filling shifts
  • Developing professional relationships with staff and team members
  • Use of a variety of systems and navigating multiple platforms

The hours of work are Monday to Sunday between 7am - 7pm. Must be available to work on a rotating roster across Friday to Tuesday.

Available shifts; Sunday – 6 hours, Monday 7am – 3pm, Tuesday 12pm – 7pm plus other ad hoc shifts to cover staff leave.

Shifts will be split between working from home and at our head office in Dandenong South.
