EWBs MEL specialist ensures that all EWB Australia programs and projects produce the evidence of their effectiveness and that the lessons learned are translated in recommendations to guide program and project development and direction.

The Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) Specialist guides and embeds the organisational Theory of Change and Impact Framework and establishes and manages processes for on-going data collection, analysis, sharing and learning across the organisation. They will take leadership in improving systems and ensuring that leading thinking is applied strategically to collecting, reporting and analysing data.

EWB has a new strategy that clearly explains EWB impact goal against mission, vision and purpose. We have high level strategic pillars that provide a roadmap to successful delivery of that strategy. Under this there are program and project objectives that generate our impact. The MEL specialist ensures that we are tracking and reporting on our activities, delivering reports, sharing them internally and externally and ensuring that systems are in place and consistently used by everyone in the organisation so that knowledge and learning is, clear, consistent, relevant, well managed and easy to be disseminated.

This role provides regular impact report to the management team and for board reports and ensures M+E reports are available to program staff and partners. They provide insight and analysis to support external communications and fundraising and will facilitate cross-organisational learning and reflection, enabling adaptive management practice and continuous improvement.

This role will work very closely with teams on the ground to generate high quality data and information.
