Purpose

To unlock EWB network of supporters so that we maintain and grow strong, embedded relationships, resulting in healthy and sustainable income from a portfolio of foundations, strategic corporate partnerships and major donors.

Summary

EWB has a healthy diversity of funding sources from individual, government, corporate and university partnerships. We believe in relationship-based funding partnerships, where our donors are an integral part of the program eco-system. To build on and strengthen this diversity we are looking to develop our portfolio, unlocking the fundraising potential of our passionate community, while we deepen existing strategic partnerships and revenue raising opportunities.

The Partnerships and Philanthropy Specialist will build and develop funding partnerships with companies, trusts, major donors, including family foundations, working closely with others across the organisation to identify leads, respond to opportunities and build engaged relationships, ensuing that these relationships are embedded and nurtured as an important part of the EWB eco-system.

The EWB network is passionate and diverse and has relatively untapped potential for a stable and sustainable financial base. This role will oversee the development and rollout of a plan to engage our community resulting in and ensuring the sustainability of our work.

The Partnerships and Fundraising Manager will work closely with Marketing team and the Revenue and Income Generation committee of the board, representing EWB in partnership meetings and no the Business Development group of EWB International.

Key responsibilities:

  1. Developing and delivering EWBs strategy for philanthropy and corporate engagement, ensuring that EWB is meeting or exceeding annual financial targets major donors, corporate partnerships, trusts and foundations.
  2. Relationship management of corporate partnerships, foundations and major donors including family trusts, ensuring that relationships are healthy with timely reporting, regular communication and storytelling.
  3. Identification and development of relationships with new partners, aligned with EWB’s strategy and programmatic intent, using and championing our CRM as our key relationship management tool across the organisation.
  4. Work with colleagues across the organisation to write creative, quality proposals, reports and communications pieces.
  5. Ensure EWBs Ethical Partnerships Policy and that ethical partnership due diligence is always current.
