The role

We are looking for a Service Area Manager to join us and provide exemplary leadership, supervision, support and mentoring to the regional Local Area Coordinator mobile teams ensuring the delivery of participant-driven planning and coordination services within the NDIS and in accordance with Feros Care’s service philosophy, funding requirements, applicable legislative obligations and quality frameworks and to ensure effective community capacity building activities are provided to people with a disability, their families and the broader community.

What will I be responsible for?

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the allocated LAC teams and provide advisory decision-making support and assisted problem-solving support as required.
  • Manage the LAC office to ensure participants and the broader community can access information and enquire about the NDIS, LAC and supports.
  • Ensure a readily available and appropriately skilled LAC workforce of committed, enthusiastic staff passionate about assisting people living with a disability to live their best life and achieve their goals
  • Provide backfill support to the LAC teams as required to meet business operational needs
  • Build a strong understanding of individual members, their talent, their aspirations, and goals to ensure staff can do their ‘Best Life’s Work’ at Feros Care
  • Lead by example, as appositive role model

About you

  • Demonstrated experience in managing large teams across a regional footprint
  • Adaptable to change and resilient in a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Passion for people management and experience in growing a self-sufficient workforce with high energy, enthusiasm, and commitment to excellence.
  • Committed to supporting others and sharing knowledge in a team environment
  • Demonstrated experience and a high level of understanding of the Disability sector
  • Ability to think and act at a strategic level and successfully drive and implement change.
  • Confident and everyday user of technology and the internet
  • Current unrestricted drivers’ licence
  • Ability to travel interstate and stay away from home at least two nights every month if necessary.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in disability, human services, allied health, children’s services, community or similar
