At Feros Care Villages, we are far from traditional in our delivery of care. We pride ourselves on meeting the needs of our residents, creating a vibrant, modern and supportive environment. We are seeking a Wellbeing Lead to join the Residential Services team on a full time basis, supporting our Byron Bay and Bangalow villages.

As the Wellbeing Lead, you will bring a range of holistic activities and events to enhance residents’ wellness and enjoyment. The Wellbeing Lead will advocate on behalf of clients and client families and plays an integral role in bringing unity between their expectations and the services provided. You will achieve this by engaging with residents, staff, and families to ensure a client centred approach.

What will I be doing

You will lead the individual and group wellbeing activity planning, ensure client documentation and evidence is collected in readiness for program improvements, compliance, and audit requirements. You will be supported by village staff and volunteers and work closely with Team Leads to ensure activities are undertaken and outcomes are achieved. You will also:

  • Design and develop wellbeing programs that are underpinned by Feros Cares model of care and the Aged Care accreditation standards, optimising health and independence
  • Ensure all resident individualised goals and needs are identified and considered in group and individual activities
  • Participate in the assessment, care planning, evaluation and care conferences
  • Undertake resident and carer case conferencing and scheduled clinical appointments, tasks and responsibilities associated with your professional discipline
  • Lead the development and implementation of wellbeing programs and training for staff, including palliative care, spiritual and social support

What you’ll need to have

  • Bachelor of Applied Sciences (Leisure and Health, or Diversional Therapy), or, a Diploma or Bachelor of Health Sciences (Leisure and Health), or other equivalent qualification
  • Demonstrated 3 years’ experience in Residential Aged Care, (with a focus on positive living, and/or wellbeing programs)
  • Experience working in diversional/allied health therapies with knowledge in palliative care, end of life care, and grief and loss support
  • A good understanding of holistic resident care and willingness to apply our model of care to planning, activities and support
  • People Management skills
  • Strong communication skills, and the ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Current CPR verification, Flu Vaccination, Covid-19 Vaccination and Australian Driver’s Licence
