Remote / Work from Home
Come and join our international development organisation, working to eliminate avoidable blindness. Currently operating in over 25 countries throughout Australia, the Pacific, Africa, South Asia and South East Asia, The Foundation has restored sight to over two million people worldwide. We have an ambitious five year strategic plan that aims to take The Foundation even closer to realising our vision of a world in which no person is needlessly blind and Indigenous Australians exercise their right to good health.
The Research Advisor is accountable for delivery of high-quality research technical support to teams across (and beyond) the Programs Division, and for leading the design of funding submissions for single and/or multi-country research projects aligned to The Foundation’s strategic framework.
The type and level of support will be negotiated on a case-by-case basis, and may include assistance with research design, project planning, project establishment and staffing, project implementation, data analysis, research reporting and knowledge translation
You have experience design research studies, project planning, developing research budgets, and managing research studies. You thrive working both independently and in diverse research teams. You take pride in providing technical advice and support to a broad range of stakeholders with varying levels of research experience. You understand the importance of providing clear and practical support and understand the complexities of undertaking research in low- and middle-income country settings. You may already have established research relationships or connections that will add further value to the research work of The Foundation.
Through our internal programs and employee benefits we aim to create an environment where you will feel supported and empowered. Whether your focus is on continuous learning, professional development or simply finding an environment which enables you to thrive while balancing family or personal commitments, then we have a number of programs in place to support you.
