We’re looking for an experienced, driven Senior Account Manager who can hit the ground running and drive our clients’ communications and engagement strategies forward.

Qualifications and experience – to be successful in this role you must have:

• Minimum 3 years agency experience working in media, communications, government or stakeholder engagement is a must

• Qualifications in public policy, media and communications, journalism, marketing, or PR

• Experience in public policy, policy writing, and campaigns or a very strong understanding of politics and current affairs

• Confidence in managing client relationships and leading account teams

• A strategic mindset with the ability to deliver quality engagement and communications strategies

• Excellent writing and content development skills for a range of channels including digital and traditional media, social media and web

• A strong network of media contacts

• A willingness to travel interstate when required and to work outside of standard hours

Desirable but not essential:

• Experience in managing social media accounts

• Sound knowledge of InDesign and Meltwater

• Previous agency experience

The role will involve:

• Managing small and large accounts and project teams to ensure projects are delivered according to deadlines and budgets

• Developing comprehensive engagement and communications strategies

• Building strong relationships and liaising with clients, media and stakeholders

• Managing PR campaigns including high-level media pitching

• Liaising with Ministerial offices and political influencers

• Developing a wide range of communications collateral, including media releases, invitations, social eKits, blogs, key messages, fact sheets and policy submissions

• Keeping abreast of communications trends, political and current affairs and the daily news cycle to help identify opportunities for effective PR, engagement strategies and tactics

• Assisting to drive new business opportunities, including the development of proposals and pitching to potential clients

We are looking for someone to join our team on a permanent contract for 4 days a week. Salary commensurate with experience.
