About the Company

Financial Toolbox is a volunteer run not-for-profit organisation that aims to build financial knowledge and skills of Western Australian women, giving them independence and freedom of choice throughout their lives.

The Financial Toolbox Women at Risk team specifically focuses on supporting women facing domestic and family abuse, including financial abuse. It developed Your Toolkit as a free, comprehensive web-based resource created and maintained by the team, providing information about managing money, keeping safe and finding support.

Financial Toolbox was incorporated in December 2017, and Your Toolkit was launched in March 2019 by Minister Simone McGurk MLA.

The outcomes we want to achieve with Your Toolkit are for women experiencing abuse to be able to easily, safely and reliably access all the information they need and confidently access support networks and services so that they can feel confident and supported to make decisions to increase their safety and wellbeing.
