We are seeking to recruit a Registered (Div 1) Practice Nurse for our Frankston clinic with a minimum of 2 years experience in Community Health or Primary Care. The role is a part time two-year fixed term position (2- 4 days available).
First Peoples’ Health and Wellbeing is a not-for-profit Aboriginal Community Controlled health service delivering primary care and mental health care services. You will be working with a supportive team of Nurses, Allied Health Professionals, General Practitioners and Medical Administration Officers who are passionate about closing the gap.
Our practice nurses deliver safe, high-quality clinical services and patient care in a warm and welcoming environment. The role is responsible for providing direct clinical services including screening, treatment, conducting health assessments, creating care plans, assisting with procedures and providing immunisations. You will contribute to a culturally safe environment and help to maintain AGPAL accreditation of the clinic. This role is also required to provide medical administration support such as triaging clients and taking phone calls.
You will be a friendly, respectful person with strong organisational skills, ability to multi-task and prioritise. You will be passionate about working in the Aboriginal primary health care sector and commit to providing exceptional care with compassion. We require skilled and professional workers who can demonstrate building strong relationships and trust with the people they work with.
