Fitted for Work, as the first of its kind in Australia, is a unique national not-for-profit service that assists women experiencing disadvantage to get work and keep it. To date Fitted for Work has delivered 45,000 to over 40,000 women.

THIS IS A new and VITAL OPERATIONAL ROLE THAT will lead a team of staff and volunteers to ensure the quality delivery of online and face-to-face job readiness services to women facing disadvantage across Australia.

We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual who is focused on providing quality employment support to women facing disadvantage, in support of the mission of Fitted for Work.

This is a hands-on operational role and the ideal candidate will demonstrate outstanding time management, organisational and communication skills, and have the ability to motivate, inspire and lead the team of paid staff and volunteers who deliver our Job Readiness services daily.

You will also show creative initiative to resolve problems and implement effective systems. It is essential there has been experience working within an employment, Human Resources, recruitment, careers, and/or outplacement environment. Experience in a client service delivery or customer service role is also essential.

KEY RESULT AREAS:

  1. Act as the point of contact for day-to-day operations and communications
  2. Assist in leading a team of staff and volunteers to deliver Job Readiness Hub appointments, both online and face to face
  3. Create the best client experience through the development and delivery of Job Readiness Hub services, both online and face to face

Essential Skills and Experience Requirements:

  • Experience in working within an employment, Human Resources, recruitment, careers, and/or outplacement environment.
  • Experience managing/leading teams in a Client/Customer facing environment.  
  • A high level of understanding and knowledge of current employment and recruitment practices and resources, and an ability to provide thorough and current advice on writing job application documents, applying for jobs and navigating the job-seeking process.
  • High proficiency/competency in the use of technology and systems for the role (online/virtual methods to communicate effectively with our client base and staff. Specifically, but not limited to Zoom, Skype, telephone, Salesforce CRM, Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrated empathy and capabilities in working with clients experiencing disadvantage and multiple barriers to employment. Cultural competency, respectfully working with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to:
    • develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders;
    • work flexibly in a changing, complex, and demanding environment; and
  • High-level organisational skills, including acute attention to detail and the ability to prioritise workflows to meet competing demands and deadlines.
