The position

The Orange Door Men’s Support Practitioner is a Full Time, Fixed Term role based in the Bayside Peninsula area, with a central office located at Frankston and provides liaison support with Men’s Behavioural Change Programmes and Magistrate and Family Law courts.

A day in the life of this position includes:

  • Liaising with Men’s Behavioural Change Programmes, Magistrate and Family Law courts, cross-referencing families identified at risk with in-coming referrals to the Orange Door.
  • Sharing information under the FVISS and CISS with relevant services to identify, assess and manage risk to vulnerable children and families.
  • Assessing the needs and risks of children utilising both the Best Interests Framework and MARAM Framework.
  • Receiving and processing referrals from a variety of resources, prioritising risk, safety and wellbeing for all clients within the orange door
  • Working in an Integrated Team model that requires consultation amongst colleagues on a regular basis.
