Forensic mental health is a specialist area within the mental health service system. The services provided by Forensicare address the needs of offenders experiencing mental health issues, the mental health sector, the justice sector and the general community.

These services are delivered through three streams, inpatient services at Thomas Embling Hospital, community services through the Community Forensic Mental Health Service and prison based services at several locations. This position will be based at <location> and will be required to work across all Forensicare sites.

About the role:

The Project and Operational Support Officer will:

  • Be responsible for providing high level operational support to the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director Business Services (CFO) and to the Finance and Business Services (FBS) leadership team.
  • Provide support to the FBS leadership group to support delivery of business improvement initiatives which will require some project and change management skills.
  • Coordinate and support tender processes across Forensicare, including the development of tender documentation that demonstrates an understanding of procurement and business practices.

About you:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Relevant Certificate/Diploma qualification in Business/Administration and/or demonstrated operational and project support experience in a demanding environment;
  • A passion for delivering service excellence;
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting the development and coordination of tenders; and
  • Excellent operational support skills, including ability to problem solve.

This position is subject to a Police Check.
