Position Overview

The Data Manager will assist the Director Research Centre with the management of data and providing data system support for Family Planning NSW.

Selection Criteria

Essential:

  • BSc/BA in computer science or relevant field
  • Proven experience as data administration and management functions (collection, analysis,
  • distribution etc.)
  • Proven experience and knowledge on relational database and data extraction programs (i.e.
  • SQL query, crystal report, Visual Basic, MS Access Query, SAS, etc).
  • Knowledge about systems business requirements and data model
  • Experience using Microsoft Office packages (Access, Word & Excel)
  • Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
  • Ability to work in a task-oriented team and with technical and managerial personnel.
  • Excellent organisational skills and excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
    • Awareness of privacy requirements and ability to maintain confidentiality 

Desirable

  • Experience within the health / medical & education environment from an IT perspective

Other Requirements

  • A Criminal Record Check and Working With Children Check are required prior to commencement in this role
