The Venue is a large Industrial warehouse in Waterloo, Sydney and we are seeking someone who has experience working in Events and/or Cafe everything in between. Your responsibility will be for the service of high quality customer centric service in events. Situated near the City in the fastest growing part of Sydney, this venue is ideally placed to capitalise on the city and corporate clientele.

The Role requires diligence to ensure the company's values, vision and mission is understood and implemented by the event team. You will be working with a small team of other events & cafe staff.

Experience: Ideally you will have come from a background in a multi-disciplined, innovative hospitality company and thrive on taking the lead to get things done. There is room to excel into a supervisor role here as well taking on running events solo and helping the events manager in operations. You excel at dealing with operational challenges in a tightly resourced environment. This is a perfect opportunity for someone looking for their next step into a leadership role! To ensure your success in this role you will have:

  • A minimum 1+ years' experience in a hospitality role
  • 1+ years' experience overseeing staff at functions is a bonus
  • Passion for providing excellence in all you do including exceptional customer service
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to work on your own.
  • Sound knowledge of F&B.
  • Excellent knowledge of produce, coffee, wine & working with small to larger teams.
  • Motivation and innovation with the ability to lead by example
  • Excellent communication skills, time management and dedication
  • High level of cleanliness and hygiene, immaculate grooming and presentation
  • Ability to work a flexible 20 - 30 hour week, within a 7 day rotating roster, incl. nights & early mornings
  • Clear communication skills, flexible, resilient and passionate
  • RSA required; food service certificates, first aid & police checks added bonus.
