Gateways Support Services has been making a positive difference to children, adolescents and adults with autism, intellectual disability and complex needs across Western Melbourne, Geelong and the South-West for over 20 years. With a workforce in excess of 750, Gateways is embarking on a strategy that will see greater investment in our people and in the range and diversity of services and supports provided to our families. Due to a restructure, an Executive leadership role has become available, one that will drive the future of Gateways in the Geelong region. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Executive Manager, Client Services and Business Development will be responsible for ensuring exemplary client service, evidence based practice and innovative new services that position Gateways as the forefront of the sector and policy changes.

To love this job you will be connected to clients with disability, fascinated by and experienced in policy and research and experienced in ensuring ideas for great client solutions are delivered quickly. You will bring empathy to service design ensuring Gateway’s ability to attract and provide a wrap-a-round service to new clients and participants while ensuring that our existing clients have great “case” support for the multitude of services they might have with us.

Your data analytics and pursuit of contemporary best practice will guide our newly established Centre of Practice Excellence providing guidance, technical advice and consistency in specialist advice for complex cases. Your expertise will ensure that Gateways emerges as a strong voice for sector discussions on policy and practice.

You will be required to apply for an NDIS Worker Screening Check. This check includes a national criminal records check, and will cost you $119.40. The check is valid for 5 years.

Successful applicants will be required to supply a current Working with Children check for an employee, a current Level 2 first aid qualification and CPR update. If you have lived outside of Australia for more than 12 months in the last 10 years, you will be required to supply an international police check from the country where you lived. Employment cannot commence until this check is received and assessed.

Shortlisted applicants will also be required to undertake the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission online Worker Orientation training module called ‘Quality, Safety and You’ prior to attending induction. This is a pre-employment requirement and if not completed, employment will not proceed.
