ABOUT THE POSITION

The Manager Counselling and Support provides coordination and leadership to program functions related to delivering direct client support for the communities that Grampians Community Health serves. The position will require travel between GCH work sites.

The position provides effective operational management and leadership to staff who provide a range of counselling and alcohol and other drug related supports to people regardless of age, ability or social status. Support required may include all sectors from youth to aged care within the Grampians Wimmera subregions. 

Programs include but are not limited to:

  • Men’s Behaviour Change groups 
  • Men’s Behaviour Change Partner Contact
  • Mental Health PTS
  • Dual diagnosis
  • Youth Outreach AOD
  • ​Gamblers Help
  • Forensic Mental Health
  • Dual Diagnosis Case Management. 

The position will contribute to achieving the vision, goals and values articulated in the organisation’s strategic plan.

Salary Packaging

Grampians Community Health has generous salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 for personal expenses and meal and entertainment expenses in addition to salary and access to ATO Remote Housing Allowance (for eligible place of residence). Salary packaging is an Australian Taxation Office approved means of restructuring your salary to reduce your taxation.

Working From Home

Grampians Community Health is progressive with offering the capacity for many of our staff to work remotely from their homes where the service delivery allows for it. Access to information technology is provided to allow you the flexibility of working from home while remaining connected to Grampians Community Health staff, supervision and management.

Professional Development

Grampians Community Health values our employees by supporting professional development to develop the knowledge and skills of our staff to better meet the needs of our clients. Clinical supervision is provided for all staff who require it for their professional practice.

Purchased Leave

Eligible staff may purchase up to 20 days additional leave in a financial year.
