An iconic not-for-profit organisation and one of Australia’s most trusted charities, Guide Dogs Australia is a group of organisations that provide a range of specialist services, alongside their iconic Guide Dogs, to support people with low vision and blindness to achieve their goals in life.
Reporting to the Senior Development and Partnerships Manager and leading a small team, the National Commercial Partnerships Manager will be responsible for overseeing the acquisition and stewardship of national partners, developing long-term mutual alignment and generating financial and in-kind support. You will ensure new partners are acquired through prospect identification, cultivation and solicitation, developing and presenting proposals, relationship building and driving engagement strategies to generate income. You will mentor and support your team to achieve, plus manage your own portfolio of partners; foster relationships and secure financial support through shared value, cause-related marketing campaigns, fundraising, gifts in kind and workplace giving.
Your communication, leadership, negotiation and influencing skills are essential, along with the ability to successfully plan and build effective relationships with key decision-makers and diverse stakeholders. You will be a collaborative and outcomes-focussed leader with demonstrated success in managing a significant program of major partners and brands, ideally in a federated for purpose organisation.
Implementing meaningful recognition strategies and looking for opportunities to connect and integrate corporate partners into Guide Dogs will be instrumental to secure philanthropic support, sponsorship, engagement and mutually beneficial partnerships.
