About the Role

We seek an experienced professional to lead design, deliver and coordinate Gender Equity Victoria’s Action for Gender Equality Partnership. The role involves high level of policy, project management and stakeholder engagement to ensure the Action for Gender Equality Project achieves its vision and service targets.

In this newly created role the Project Lead for Gender Equity Projects and Partnerships will ensure high level of service and timely advice to fee for service clients seeking support on their Gender Equality journey.

The role supports the Action for Gender Equality Partnership with responsibility for maintaining strong partnerships with clients, project members, funders, external partners and other stakeholders, including government.

To be considered for this position, You Will Have

  • A good understanding of the women’s movement in Australia, insight and understanding of women’s health issues and working knowledge of complex changing political environments
  • Experience in a senior leadership position, demonstrating ethics, integrity and excellent interpersonal and high-level communication skills that support the capacity to lead, inspire and develop staff
  • Intersectional gender policy and practice expertise
  • Proven management skills with working knowledge of the activities required to run innovative projects focused on achieving gender equity and social change.
  • Client/stakeholder management skills and the ability to develop effective and collaborative internal and external working relationships
  • Capacity to manage multiple projects and workplans, including developing financial plans, reports and budgets; annual business plans and reports.
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and communication skills
